Moods of Horseracing was conceived as the definitive photographic essay of the atmosphere that surrounds the sport. To find the variety of pictures required a national photographic competition was organised, which resulted in literally thousands of entries. To create the balance of views from "both sides of the fence" pictures were also chosen from professional photographers and picture libaries.The final selection, aomplemented by text from Lord Oaksey,an accomplished and highly respected sports journalist, captures the essence of Horseracing in all its varying moods.
