Miles Napier has been actively involved in English racing all his life. He has served as a Handicapper under both Jockey Club and National Hunt rules. While employed by the stud book department at Weatherby’s he was involved with research which led to many half-bred horses being accepted by the General Stud Book. His other publications include, Breeding a Racehorse, Blood will Tell and The Racing Men of T.V. He produced a revised edition of Horse Racing by Dennis Craig and was co-compilier of the Treasures of the Bloodstock Breeders Review with Leon Rasmussen. He was also joint compiler of Keylock’s Dams of Winners 1967-1978 and 1979-1984. Foreword to this second edition by Joe Grimwade, manager of the Royal Studs.
